Treasures Report

Treasures Report dated February 9, 2008. 

Balance on Hand as of October 20, 2007 was $5300.81.

Total Income was $475.00.

Disbursements were $333.96.

Balance on hand dated February 9, 2008 $5441.85.

Steam School Report

Jeff Bloemers will be submitting a steam school quarter page ad to the Engineers and Engines magazine (April/May issue).

Jeff also inquired with the Steam Traction magazine but they have not replied back.

ASOPE (American Society of Power Engineers, Inc) test will be offered again after this years steam school.

Jeff said that this years steam school will start one hour earlier on Friday (starting at 5 p.m. not 6 p.m.) and will extend an hour later on Sunday (ending at 1 p.m. not noon).

Jeff reported that he has about 15 students signed up as of to date and encourages  members to sign up for next year’s school.

Jeff said he has a few left over 2007 steam school manuals and is selling them for $5 each. He also has copies of the Case Steam Engine Manual and Steam Traction Engineer's Checklist available as well.

Charlie Hendrickson said that the Rock River Thresheree will have new rest room facilities this year.

NBIC (National Board Inspection Code) Report

Mike Wahl said there is nothing to report regarding NBIC. He indicated that we are heading in the right direction and that it is a slow process.

New Business

Nominations for officers and board members will take place at the next meeting. The following directors terms ending in 2008 are Ralph Noggle, Paul Reckelberg  and Peter Burno. 

Paul Reckelberg indicated that he does not wish to continue his role as vice president.

Motion was made and carried to give Bill Petitjean $100 to help off set his travel expenses. Bill did an excellent presentation on lubrication at the meeting. For more information see his website Lubrication Specialties Corporation.

Motion was made and carried to give the North Central Wisconsin Antique Steam & Gas Engine Club $50 to help offset any expenses associated with today's meeting. 

A special thanks to Kurt/Bev Umnus and Dave/Linda Berens for getting the hall ready and preparing the lunch. 

Final Remarks and Next Meeting

Paul Reckelberg suggested that we consider the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc, WI for the Fall meeting location. He said he will present more information at the next meeting.

The next meeting is on May 3rd, Badger Steam & Gas Engine Club Baraboo, WI. This is the annual meeting and is in conjunction with their clubs spring swap meet. 

Membership renewals are due at this meeting as well.
