General Meeting Minutes

January 23, 2010

Jerry Sanders Homestead

Meeting called to order at by Mike Wahl at 1:15 p.m.

Approximately 37 members present.

Minutes of the November 7, 2009 meeting were read by Jeff Bloemers. Correction was made to the January 18, NBCI meeting date it should have been 2010 not 2008. 

The Treasures Report dated January 23, 2010 was read by Cathy Milner. Balance on hand as of January 23, 2010 is $6955.26.

Jeff Bloemers gave a steam school update.

Mike talked about the NBCI, said he will go into more detail at the presentation.

Mike stated that the WHSEA will apply for 501C4 tax status which will be beneficial for us financially. Cost to do this is $650-$750.

The next meeting will be in Wabeno, WI on May 8, 2010. This is the annual meeting.

Vicky asked for reimbursement for postage for meeting reminders.

Mike offered Jerry and Debbie Sanders a donation for hosting the meeting. They refused the donation so the club decided to name a second youth scholarship in the name of Harry Kline.

Mike Flood was reimbursed for photocopy expenses of $137.55.

Jim Connor stated that the possible November meeting dates may conflict with Mid Continent Railway events.

Discussion took place regarding fall meeting possibilities; Dean Meissner will look into the possibility of having a meeting in the Eau Claire area.

The auto museum in Hartford was also brought up.

The meeting adjourned at 2:05 p.m.
