Treasures Report

Treasures Report dated November 1, 2008. 

Balance on Hand as of May 3, 2008 was $4963.98.

Total Income was $4702.00.

Disbursements were $2424.73.

Balance on hand dated November 1, 2008 $7241.25.

Steam School Report

Jeff Bloemers said this years 5th annual school was held September 26, 27, & 28, at Rock River. It was a great success with 51 students in attendance, the most to date. 

Next years school will be held September 25, 26, & 27, 2009 at Rock River. The registration fee will be $50 per student again.

Jeff said he will submit an article and pictures to Engineers and Engines magazine again regarding this years school. He said it is free and good advertisement.

Discussion took place regarding possibly holding a clean up class at the end of school next year.

The $3000 donation to Rock River is still in the works.

Mike thanked Jeff for all his work regarding Steam School.

NBIC (National Board Inspection Code) Report

Mike Wahl said there is nothing to report regarding NBIC on the legislative or state level. He indicated that we are heading in the right direction and that it is a slow process.

New Business

Dennis and Betsy Lauer brought in club patches. They are for sale, $3 each or $5 for both.

 Motion was made and carried to donate $50 to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum  specifically for the triple-expansion steam engine fund.

A special thanks to Paul and Audrey Reckelberg for getting the hall ready and preparing the lunch.

Final Remarks and Next Meeting

A special thanks to Ralph Noggle and Pete Burno for their service to the club.

Discussion took place regarding the next meeting and location.

Paul Reckelberg suggested that we consider the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI for the next meeting. He said he will look into this and let the board of directors know.

The next meeting is on January 24, 2009 location and/or topic to be announced.
